The real reason you freeze in Spanish

Hola Reader,

Quick question.

How many times has this happened to you?

You're in a conversation. Someone asks you something in Spanish. You KNOW the word. I mean it's right there and it still won't come out of your mouth.

So what do you do? Exactly, you freeze. Or you switch back to English. And you walk away thinking, "What is wrong with me?"

Here's the truth: nothing is wrong with you.

It's not your age. It's not your memory. It's not that you need more grammar, more apps, or more lessons.

It's that no one ever gave you the actual system fluent adults run in their head, and you've been skipping the one part that makes Spanish finally come out automatically.

I call the whole system F.E.A.R. Three of the four letters, you're probably already doing.

The fourth one?

The one that fixes the freeze? Almost nobody does. And once you see it, you can't unsee why you've been stuck this whole time.

I break the entire thing down in my newest video. I'm not going to spoil the fourth letter here. You'll know it the second you see it.

Watch it, then do me a favor and try the Power Tip at the end tonight. It takes 60 seconds and it'll show you exactly what's been missing.

Hablamos pronto,

Profe Don Omar

P.S. — Want the F.E.A.R. system already built into your first 7 days? I made you a free Spanish Starter Kit: tiny daily targets, real phrases, and the one rep that actually wires Spanish in. Grab it here 👉 [STARTER KIT LINK]

P.P.S. — If you're done freezing and ready to do this with me LIVE, the Spanish Made Simple Challenge is 5 days of guided practice that forces the missing piece out loud, daily, with structure. Doors close August 9th. After that you're waiting for the next round. 👉 [CHALLENGE LINK]

Hola, familia 👋 Mira esta imagen: dos torres doradas, con un nombre famoso, Trump. ¿En Cuba? That's where my newest lesson opens. And here's the thing, if you've been with me a while, you probably understood that opening line. Slowly. Clearly. Without a translation. That's not an accident. That's comprehensible input doing its job. ▶ WATCH: Why Cuba Has No Power… But Trump Has Towers This is Episode 2 of "El Caribe Ahora", my new series breaking down what's happening in the Caribbean right...

Hola Reader, Quick question. Has this ever happened to you? You read a Spanish paragraph and understand it fine. Then someone says those exact same words out loud... and your brain goes blank. Here's what I want you to know: nothing is wrong with you. Reading Spanish and hearing Spanish are two completely different skills. When you read, your eyes see clean spaces between every word. But when a native speaks, those spaces vanish. "Los amigos están aquí" comes out as one blurry sound:...

Feliz domingo Reader, You've studied Spanish for months now. Maybe even years. You can name foods. You can count. You can introduce yourself. But the second someone asks you a real question: "¿qué quieres comer?" Your brain freezes. Your mouth opens. Nothing comes out. You stand there at the menu, the Spanish you "know" suddenly miles away. If that's you, hear me clearly: it's not your fault. Nobody taught you the glue. There are actually 4 tiny words in Spanish that hold real conversations...
